The Learning Support Christmas Lunch
The Learning Support Department at St Charles organised a fun Christmas end of term experience for students during lunch on Wednesday 20th December. Delicious festive food and refreshments were provided (expertly sourced by Ms Lancaster!) to a background of popular festive tunes! This was a well-deserved opportunity for students to celebrate the end of a very long term and it came at the end of a week of stressful mock exams. It also gave students the chance to socialise and share their exciting Christmas holiday plans with their peers.
Under the careful scrutiny of Ms Coyne, the kitchen in the Manning building was transformed into a buzzing restaurant with a real Christmas atmosphere, donned with suitable decorations and aromas. L2 Art students Khalil and Carlos, with the support of Nadia and Michael, dug deep into their creative skills to help Ms McHugh organise a DIY Christmas Photo booth which was a great hit with staff and students! Students, dressed in their Christmas attire, posed gracefully for our resident camera man Jaleel and glamourous assistants Claire & Larisa!
Appoximately 30 students attended and they all expressed that they really appreciated the food and drink, as well as having the opportunity to have their photos taken and relax with friends.
Thanks to all the LS staff and students who helped make the gathering a success with their enthusiasm and by helping with the preparations.
