We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and effective HOD for Business and economics to join our vibrant and ambitious college. Our commitment is to provide the best possible education for every student that we serve. We are a fully inclusive Catholic Sixth Form College with a diverse and multi-cultural student body of 1100 16 to 19-year old Sixth Form students and 110 members of staff.
The successful candidate will have a relevant degree and teaching qualification. You will be an outstanding classroom teacher and will have a track record of securing strong student results. 
You will also have management experience, or be able to demonstrate that you possess the qualities to successfully lead a department area. 
You will teach across our A-level and T-level curriculum. Your teaching will lead by example and will promote a purposeful learning environment, with engaging lessons that have a strong focus on student progress and development. 

As part of the College’s Middle Leadership Team, you will develop and sustain outstanding student achievement and valueadded performance within the subject department. 
Performance and outcome quality will be secured through the well managed leadership of staff and students. 
The objective is to ensure that students benefit from very high standards of classroom practice and an overall departmental experience that challenges, inspires and motivates them to make exceptional progress and secure positive next steps when they leave us at the end their course.
