The festive atmosphere which created a sense of community, allowed peers to connect with one another outside the classroom setting. The party was a perfect way to combine relaxation and celebration in the lead-up to the much needed holiday break. For many, it was a welcome break from the pressures of college work, assignments, exams etc, and offered a moment to simply enjoy good food and company. The celebration helped students foster new friendships and strengthen their sense of belonging within the department.

The afternoon’s highlight was the Christmas raffle, which added an element of excitement to the celebration as students anticipated what they might win. The prizes included gift cards, holiday-themed treats, and other surprises. The raffle was a fun way to round off the event, and the joy it brought was evident in the smiles and cheers throughout the room. Even students who didn’t win a prize still felt the spirit of the occasion. It was a reminder of the little things that make such gatherings special and memorable, enhancing an overall sense of togetherness.
